The USZ - a strong partner
The two hospitals are independent, but work closely together in various areas. Due to their orientations, Männedorf Hospital and Zurich University Hospital complement each other ideally. We use these synergies to further improve the quality of treatment and to make sensible use of existing capacities. This is with the aim of ensuring healthcare on the right bank of the lake at a high level in the long term and strengthening emergency care.
Through this cooperation, patients on the right bank of the lake also receive highly specialized medical services close to home. In addition to cooperation in treatment, we also work closely together in the areas of quality assurance, training and continuing education.
Other partnerships
Occupational as well as consultant physicians
If we do not ourselves have the necessary experience in a specialist area or if we want to support our teams with additional resources, we integrate specialists into our organization who work independently in their own practice or organization.
Hapmed
We maintain close cooperation with the family doctors in the region and have joined forces with the network of family doctors on the Pfannenstiel (Hapmed AG) in a supporting association. In this way, we want to ensure high-quality, basic medical care on the right bank of Lake Zurich and in the Pfannenstiel region. An important concern of this cooperation is to guarantee primary care by family doctors in the long term, for example by establishing joint practices in shareholder communities.
Palliaviva
We work closely with Palliaviva to ensure that patients suffering from a terminal illness are also well cared for at home. They care for and look after people in their familiar surroundings and, with their specialized care, supplement the basic care provided by Spitex and family doctors.
