About this condition
What it is about
An injury to the acromioclavicular joint occurs after falling on the shoulder or arm, for example, while mountain biking or skiing. As a result, the outer end of the collarbone is higher.
Symptoms and consequences
After the fall, the mobility of the affected shoulder is significantly limited due to pain and, under certain circumstances, an elevation of the outer end of the clavicle is visible.
