Balgrist University Hospital and Männedorf Hospital are cooperating in the field of spinal surgery. The University Spine Center Zurich (UWZH) opened a site at Männedorf Hospital at the beginning of February 2023, where it offers consultation hours and performs standard operations. This will ensure that basic spinal surgery can be provided close to home on the right bank of Lake Zurich with access to highly specialized medicine.

Spine consultation
Clarification of back complaints, e.g. due to slipped discs, signs of wear and tear, rheumatic changes, etc., and drawing up a treatment plan.
Disc surgery
with gentle procedures such as microsurgery or endoscopy.
Vertebral fracture surgery
Surgical procedures such as vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty for the treatment of vertebral fractures, e.g. in osteoporosis.
