Hormones play an important role in our body, as they control central processes such as metabolism and blood pressure. If hormone production is disrupted, this can therefore lead to various diseases - for example diabetes mellitus, disorders of the sexual organs or obesity.
In our consultation, we look for the causes of your complaints and work with you to choose the right treatment.
Disease patterns
Although type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus cannot be cured, patients who are well controlled can lead a symptom-free life. The aim of treatment is to keep blood glucose levels at a normal level.
Elevated blood fat levels (lipids) and in particular an elevated cholesterol level are an important risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, as they promote arteriosclerosis. A change in lifestyle can significantly reduce the risk. If necessary, additional medication can be used.
Malnutrition can be the cause or consequence of various illnesses and problems. These include, for example, wound healing disorders, increased susceptibility to infections, a tendency to fall, reduced quality of life and increased mortality. It is therefore important to recognize and treat malnutrition or its risk factors in good time.
